I cannot STAND the holiday season. Let me clarify: I don't like the commercialism of it, and growing up it was a competition thing for my mother. Who gave the best gifts, etc. It stressed us out something terrible as children. As a result, me and my sister barely celebrate. I think we're just hanging out around the house on Christmas, no hanging with fam.
We as a society have forgotten the reason for the season. That saddens me. It's about fellowship and remembering God's blessings for me these days. And I wouldn't want it any other way.
@ Lady - you're so silly! Agreed that we've lost the real meaning of the season and that's why I only do things out of love and not obligation. I refuse to accept that there is nothing more at this time of year than overspending and commercialism. Lil Lady and I are keeping it low key.

Too funny @ things advertised yet no longer available. Toys R Us has this BAD. Excessive, yep. The stores are the absolute worse.
I can dig the gifts out of love and not obligation. I dislike wrapping gifts. ha. I love the Christmas dinners. Certain friends and family does it for me as well.
