reasons to be cheerful

Thanks again to all of you who read my Health Wealth series and sent your well wishes my way. I truly appreciate each of you and hope that a lesson was learned.

I'm going to be away after today until next Thursday, so I wanted to leave you with something light hearted. Here's a list of things that I'm cheerful and ever so grateful about...

being woken this morning and knowing that God is all around me

my daughter and the cute things she says in the txt messages she sends me
my mum for our being able to let the past ride and work with now and tomorrow
being reunited with my siblings and how our bond surpassed the distance
my acquired family for being such a great part of my life

that my sister is coming from London on the 25th to spend almost a month with me

the amazing largess afforded me thus making my time away possible. so much love for that

Zay because he's such a great big brother and a inspiration. we all need a Zay in our lives

my being cancer free and for being a health advocate

that in spite of my scars (literal), i'm still a beautiful, vibrant, and desirable woman
(still working on this one...lol)

for paying it forward

for being whole and no longer fractured...that's big for me

for loving myself enough to not see being single/celibate as a bad thing

that one day my king will come in search of his missing rib

for knowing that in spite of the bullshit and drama, there is still good and good people in the world

for the 25 year friendship i've had with my first bf in spite of the craziness we've been through

knowing that my blog has helped others

for the blogs that have helped, amused, entertained, and even angered me

for being a child of God; loving life; and trying to find the positive in any negative situation

I think it can be said that we thank God and you for being here to tell you story.

And as for yo being desirable, methinks you sell yourself short, lady. :)

hey blu,

i couldn't agree with your post. each and every line is significant. especially @ for being a child of God; loving life; and trying to find the positive in any negative situation.

that makes a world of a difference, doesn't it?

dc - hey man! thanks for stopping by and i appreciate you going back to read the series.

roddykat - thank you for reading my story and for using it to help someone else. LOL @ you saying I'm selling myself short.

don - gotta keep the faith and press on no matter what. negativity only lasts as long as we keep ourselves blinded by it. There's a lesson learned in every situation.

t.c - im baaaack! what a restful time it was too!

believer - i love that line..."Dance with God, He'll let the perfect guy cut in." thats powerful. thanks for the words of wisdom. i am truly grateful for much. Award? Wow! thanks lady...heading over.

jus.b.fli - aww shuck! *blush* just saying what's real. i'll check in on ya to see if i can sprinkle some jewel dust your way.

I truly have been working too hard. I missed this whole process. First off let say I am so sorry. Secondly, Ain't GOD GOOD! Girl, I wish i had been paying closer attention, but life happens and I am happy to know you are well on your road to recovery. Don't worry about the scars. They heal what you can take from this process and teach other women makes that scar a battle scar and the fact that you are living and breathing today proves that while you may have been in a tough fight you came out on the other side with triumph and a trophy that say s cancer is no match for the Lord!
