A sad day!

For those of you who've been blogging for some time may know Nikki Harris aka Nikki Indigo or the Iniquitous One. She was a powerful, entertaining, and extremely honest writer. For the past few years, she was one of my favourite blogs to read and I was inspired by her in many ways. From her candor to her sensitivity, she left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.

It's with a heavy and saddened heart to say, R.I.P Nikki. My life has been blessed with your gifts and may heaven know it is so very blessed to have you in their midst. Her suffering is now over and her place in the eternal is secure.

Her passing flashed a neon light that life is fragile; it is precious; and it needs to be lived fully. We need to act with purpose and intent on a foundation of love. She was only 37 years old and too young for her passing, so from this I must live. I must take her memory and use it to celebrate this life; to love a little harder; to walk a little sturdier, a celebrate each day for we surely do not know when our last will be.

Prayers to the Harris family and may God bless and keep you all.

Love to live; Live to love

I'm in denial. I've been thinking about it all day. Just shaking my head and trying to take it all in. She is (refuse to speak in past tense) a beautiful person and has touched so many. A voice may be silenced, but her spirit will always carry on.

Man, I feel you on the present tense as she will live in us always. Her voice was so powerful and her pen fierce. I loved kicking it with her online or on the phone. She was good people personified.

Blu Jewel, I had never heard of this writer but I just recently (today)visited her site.

Wow, she was strong, bold, and very gifted. I started by reading her last post and was hooked. She had very keen insight and was able to translate her visions into words; surely a skill few of us will ever master. She was able to unfold a simple subject matter into a multilayered event; feeding and teasing the reader to read more. Her writing was very engrossing.

I copied this jewel of hers...."it is at this moment on my mortal timeline when i am paralyzed, my future forked into prongs of possibilities, my present knifed into shavings of indecision, my past spooned into a bowl of listless existence.

this moment when i realize all of the experiences prior to now were merely preparing me for the monumental decision i will soon have to make, the decision which will ultimately determine where my life moves from here.

at this very moment, this crossroads of a moment, i'm writing in my blog and i'm not even sure what happens next" - Nikki

Praying that Nikki’s life will cause others to do what you shared, "...celebrate this life; to love a little harder; to walk a little sturdier..."
