Remembering The Dream

As today symbolizes the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, I thought I'd deviate a little from how many might use this day for peaceful reflection or celbration.

The following is a list of some songs that inspire me and give personal reflection to The Dream:

Imagine - John Lennon
Man In The Mirror - Micheal Jackson
Heal The World - Micheal Jackson
The Prayer (there are a few versions; my fave) - Charlotte Church & Josh Groban
You Are Loved (Don't Give Up) - Josh Groban
Sing - The Carpenters
Til I'm Laid to Rest - Buju Banton
Redemption Song - Bob Marley

Naturally, there are many other songs that move me, but these are the ones that came immediately to mind. Whatever YOUR dream is, I pray that it's achieved and your personal greatness leaves a positive mark on us all.

Love!

I don't know if these are songs that inspire, but they certainly speak to my soul...

1. Arms of an Angel - by Sara (i forgot her last name)
2. The Preachers Wife soundtrack - this is my all-time go to record when i need some uplifting.
3.Donnie McClurkin Live in London.
4.Keiko Matsui - that lady and a piano....ah no words.

Those are my mainstays, but i love Josh Grobans take on The Prayer.

We should never, ever give up our dreams, and always protect them...like my pastor said, you don't go telling everybody what you are about to do...somethings are meant for you and God, something as special and sacred as your dream should be coveted until it has a chance to fully evolve. Cocoon it...soon it will be ready to fly. Much love to you Blu! Once again, you touched me, and reminded me. Oh, and i love what you said on my post P-U-S-H, pray until something happens.

miz - you are i are kindred spirits. i embrace that in so many ways because our exchanges though virtual are so real and warming. I love the artists you mentioned. Sara's last name is MacLalan (sp?) She's a fantastic artist. Check out Answer by her, you'll love it. I've seen Keiko live - as you said; no words.

I love what your pastor said and will add it to my life and life lessons. Thanks for that nugget of wisdom.

Every season has a song or two that exemplify our hour of need, frustration, joy, sorrow, and all the rest. I'm so thankful for God using music to send His message of hope.
