Stop calling me!!!

I realize it's that time of year; the political race is one and every candidate wants my vote, but damn!

I have an unlisted number, yet I'm getting calls from the local democratic offices representing Hilary and Barack respectively. They all read from pretty much the same script and can't seem to take I'm not interested for answer. Now, it's not that I'm not interested in the political race; I am. What I'm not interested in is sharing my views with them or answering any of their questions. STOP CALLING ME!!

I've been going through this spiel for about two weeks now and I've had enough. I've asked that my name be taken off their lists, but I guess they figure they'll have Michael call instead of Lisa thinking I might be more receptive to a male's voice than a females...NOT!

The New Jersey primary is forthcoming and we're expected to cast our votes next Tuesday, which I will do. What I won't do is give anyone any information prior then; they can sit with ants in their pants and wait for Tuesday night's count.

Caller ID is a wonderful and I don't answer if/when they go through their calling cycle again, but it sure as hell is annoying!

Is anyone else going through this?

Wait- they call you??? You can go on that do not call registry, can't you? Or is that not considered "telemarketing"? Regardless, it's still very annoying. I would screw with them and make them stay on the phone, ask a ton of questions and make them regret ever calling you again! Tell em' you're voting for good ol' Mitt! ;)

Deb - the sad thing is that I'm ON the DO NOT CALL LIST! I don't know how they got my number, but they better stop calling or I'll certainly exact what you suggested *lol*

Nikki - yea, they're really gully it seems with trying to reach out to sway your vote.

Hi Blu Jewel,

I'm in California; we are a Super Tuesday state too. I haven't gotten calls but I'm soooooo sick of seeing the same TV ads from Billary and Barack!

And it's only going to get worse.

I'm on the "Definitely" Do Not call list; I wonder if that has kept them from calling. Somehow I doubt it.

Dang. I haven't gotten any calls, and I assumed it was because I'm on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. Now I'm curious how your number "fell thru the cracks."

I'm looking forward to Super Tuesday. I've been blogging about the primaries like an addict lately. Finally I get to be about it instead of blog about it. hehe

Nah, I dont have a landline... having 2 cells and claiming one as your home number works a lot better.

i keep hearing about that, but they aren't doing that here in the DMV area (DC, MD, VA)...i am not listed though...

they sometimes get your information if you donated or have requested information....

don't snap on em blu...lol

They aren't doing that here, I know the phone has been ringing off of the hook from unknown or 800 numbers but I rarely pay much attention to the land line b/c I don't use it. It's just for emergencies or when my cell needs to be charged so bad that I can't even turn it on to make a call or to save minutes which my fav's handles pretty well. I think thats ridiculous that they are hounding you like that...and that if you mentioned you no longer wanted to be contacted by them that they should've taken you off of the list then... I understand being persistent but thats annoying and your vote should be your own personal business if you want to share then that is up to you...if not that is your choice and no one elses.

Those fools need to get your message...and fast! It's probably some call center doing the dirty work with no way to update your file about NOT receiving calls. It must be very frustrating every which way!

@ everyone - I will ensure that I am STILL on the DO NOT CALL registry to prevent this and other like calls from annoying me. I recommend that everyone do that to include their cell phones. Also, be wary about giving out your phone number at the stores when they ask. They say it's so they can track who's coming from where to shop at their stores, or so they can get flyer's into your area code; but I'm not buying it.

I'm starting to use a fictitious number so they can have fun with that.

Finally, please ensure you vote.

Love!

Umm Yeah!
I was so excited about Obama, I actually contributed to his campaign. Hmmph...I thought that would be enough (and my vote of course), but no! Contributing changes your name from "Mr. G" to "Mr. Chasemanhattancitibankamericaupindiscamp"

I like you dude, but BACK UP!
