Hateration!!

I was at a party this past weekend and was so ready to serve up a smorgasbord of the above picture to the women in the house. Why? Because there was no need for all the visual hateration I was getting. I give props to all the full-figured women who sported their mini dresses, low cleavage tops, and very tight pants for their confidence. Hey, if you've got it, flaunt it they say.

Now, I'm 5' 7" barefoot. I wear 3-4 inch heels almost daily and 5 when I'm really feeling it. I weight between 145-150, have a 29 inch waist, and am considered fit by all health standards. I can comfortably fit clothes in single digits from the Juniors department and am damn sure proud of being able to maintain my body at almost 42 years old.

I don't make a habit of coming off as "all that" because I'm not "all that" as beauty is subjective, but let's just say, I; for the most part am not lacking for attention. I walk with an air of confidence because I am confident in myself, but am far from arrogant or conceited. Anyway, while at this party, the women looked at me like they wanted to throw me off the boat. Why? That's yet to be determined, but let's say it's safe to assume that my outfit was commanding all kinds of attention from both the men and women. I chose it because I was comfortable in it and also because I knew it would be hot on the boat. I didn't wear it because I was seeking attention as the haters might think.

My point of this is that I'm sick and tired of women giving me the side eye or mean mugging me because they think I think I'm all that. I also am sick of being visually criticized because I'm wearing something they wish they could have. Now, as I said before, if the full-figured women can sport their (sometimes inappropriate) outfits, then why can't I? I'm not going to start wearing a Burkha because someone is jealous or envious of me, my clothes, or my figure.

So, here's what I looked like...

LMAO. I am sure every single woman in the place with low self esteem was "outed" when you walked in. You could tell them from the neck-snapping double takes, angry eyes, and steam coming off their necks.

My big ba'hind can't get into anything that cute, but I sure ain't hatin' on the sistahs who can ROCK. IT.

WTF are they hating on you for?

You look good!!!!!

Self-esteem is a beast I tell you. Tell the women they wouldn't be so jealous if they would stop eating all the HATER-TOTS! LOL!

Look at that girl with them daisy dukes on....you remember that song? Anyway, I think you look tight. Haters gonna hate, whether you do good or whether you do bad, so you make it do what it do.

@ Hawa - Your entire comment made me LMAO. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

@ Kiwi - thanks for the virgin visit. High self-esteem is NOT optional for me and something I'm more than happy I obtained.

@ Queen - Thanks for the compliment and yes, I will make it do what it do.

Haters love to hate, and that is the sad state of affairs we are in these days. Seems like everywhere I go there is somebody doin' so hatin' on somebody. It does get old. As far as I'm concerned the haters could just stay home and eat their Hatertots by themselves.

@Solomon - Agreed, it's old. In fact, it's half past old.

@ Miz - I damn sure don't care what other people think about me; cause I know I'm God's creation. It's just sad that other's have to hate to make themselves feel better.

@SLC - LOL @ "See what had happened was..." As I said, in a previous post..."...confidence, maturity, and self-awareness is sexy". Hating is NOT!

im new...and i feel like in our society women are always pitted against one another i dont hinj its a hate thing going on i think its the fact that you hold an air of confidence that some of them dream of...were never taught as women (esp.black women) to appreciate someones character and beauty and not try to rip her down at the first chance...all i can say is go on girl!!!!lol

@blackwoman - thank you my dear

@chocolate girl - thanks for stopping by and I'm happy that you enjoyed this post. I agree that women aren't always carrying themselves with the confidence they should and if that's the case, then they should seek assistance from someone they know who strong/confident to help them. I didn't get this way overnight, but am glad to be where I am.

@ Mr. B2B - LOL@ can you get my #. I appreciate your comment and yes, my being 'hated' on was a good thing, so others can learn to reach their own confidence level.

You look good! Instead of embracing the confident beautiful woman that you are with a compliment or pleasant greeting, they took the childish route.
